I’m Heather Holmes, an AI strategist and business automation expert specializing in helping small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) streamline operations, increase efficiency, and scale intelligently using artificial intelligence. As the Founder & CEO of AI 4 Business, I work with business owners who want practical, real-world AI solutions—not hype—to save time, reduce costs, and build future-ready organizations.

With decades of experience in automation, systems design, and digital transformation, I help companies move from manual, fragmented workflows to integrated, AI-powered business systems.

My professional career has been shaped by large-scale technology transformations long before “AI” became a buzzword. Early on, I played key roles in digitizing mission-critical systems across healthcare and finance:

• Foothills Hospital (Calgary, AB) — Contributed to the transition from paper-based charting to online medical records, improving operational efficiency and data accessibility across clinical teams.
   
• Alberta Stock Exchange (Calgary, AB) — Supported the shift from physical trading floors to fully digital trading environments integrated with banks and brokerages, helping modernize financial operations.
   

These experiences laid the foundation for my expertise in process automation, systems thinking, and scalable technology adoption—skills I now apply directly to small and medium-sized businesses.

Before founding AI 4 Business, I launched Imagine Virtual Agency, a digital marketing firm that implemented early AI-driven workflows for SEO, websites, and marketing automation. I later served as Operations Manager for the Greater Westside Board of Trade, where I led automation initiatives, member-based website development, and digital marketing systems.

I’ve also partnered with multiple non-profit organizations—including the Municipal Pension Retirees Association—to implement automation, rebranding strategies, and scalable membership platforms.

Over the years, I’ve founded and led several successful businesses, including:

• Calgary Concierge (Life Assistants) — Built and managed a 35-person team delivering 24/7 concierge services for high-end residential buildings.
   
• Imagine Virtual Agency — A digital marketing and automation agency focused on SEO, AI-driven marketing, and business systems (now evolved into AI 4 Business).
   
• West K Wine Accessories — A custom-branded wine accessory import and wholesale distribution company.
   
• Okanagan Quality Foods — A direct-to-consumer food delivery service providing premium flash-frozen meat and seafood throughout the Okanagan.
   

Across every venture, one truth remained constant: businesses don’t scale through effort—they scale through systems.

After years of consulting and automation work, I saw a recurring challenge: business owners had goals, tools, and ideas—but lacked a clear system to translate strategy into consistent execution. To solve this, I created The Planner.

I’m deeply committed to supporting women entrepreneurs and helping founders turn ideas into sustainable businesses. I’ve served as Public Relations Director for the Westbank Royal Canadian Legion Branch 288, an executive member of West K Women of Influence, and a volunteer with the Calgary Chamber of Commerce. I’ve also authored books focused on equipping young adults with essential life and business skills.
